and the intersections between music & politics.


I wrote a Ph.D in Politics, History and International Relations 
at Loughborough University (UK) 
with a thesis entitled: 
‘The Political Role of La Scala during the Risorgimento: 
hegemony and subversion, 1814-1848’. 

participated in a number of international conferences, 
published contributions to edited books on gender, the Risorgimento and Nineteenth century opera, 
as well as articles in peer-reviewed journals, namely 
Anglistica, 
Mosaici: The Learned Journal of Italian Poetry
